Marigold Indian Cuisine was founded in Bloomington, California, by Nachhattar Singh Chandi, inspired by a lifelong passion for sharing the extraordinary flavors, traditions, and hospitality of Indian culture.
From the beginning, his vision for Marigold was to create more than an Indian restaurant. He wanted to offer an authentic culinary experience—one rooted in tradition, prepared with exceptional ingredients, and reflective of the depth and diversity of Indian cuisine.
To bring that vision to life, Chandi brought accomplished chef Jayanandan Bhaskar from India to lead Marigold’s culinary program. Chef Bhaskar earned national recognition as a contestant on Amul MasterChef India in 2010, where he finished as First Runner-Up.
